Matthew was born a “Military Brat” and was raised in various locations throughout the United States due to his father being in the Army. Little did he know the Lord was using this to prepare him to one day become a Pastor. Matthew did not come to know Christ until he became an adult even though he was exposed to the Gospel at various times throughout his adolescent years. After serving in vocational ministry for 10 years, the Lord put a desire in Matthew that did not previously exist. That desire was to become a Sr. Pastor. In 2023, he became the Senior Pastor at CBC and since then has found deep joy in teaching and leading the people of God here at Colonial Baptist Church. It is one of the greatest joys of his life to see the people of God walk in His truth and be more conformed into His image. The Lord has blessed Matthew with a wonderful wife Gretchen who is definitely the better part of their marital union as Matthew would quickly agree with. Matthew and Gretchen have three kids who they love playing with and supporting in all their activities.
