Ministry Philosophy

This statement provides the framework for our ongoing local church ministry. In tandem with our theology, this will govern what action our ministry takes. In other words, we use these commitments to determine our ministry practice.

1. We believe that the Scriptures are inspired, inerrant, and authoritative therefore our church must be Word-Driven.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. We believe there is one living and true God, an infinite, all knowing Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, therefore our church must be engaged in God-centered worship.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 90:2; John 4:24; Colossians 3:16-17)

3.The purpose of the church is to glorify God by edifying the believers in faith, by faithful instruction and implementation of the Word, fellowship, and by keeping the ordinances, for these reasons our church is committed to equipping the saints.

(Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Timothy 4:1-2)

4. We believe salvation is wholly of God's grace and those who are justified will grow in sanctification and ultimately be glorified, as a result of this belief our church must be gospel focused.

(1 Corinthians 2:2; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6)

5. We believe biblical teaching requires the appointment of elders in every church and it is the responsibility of the congregation to identify its leaders, therefore our church will be committed to Biblical congregationalism led by a plurality of servant leaders.

(Titus 1:5-9)

6. We believe a very important command has been given to the church which is to spread the gospel to the world, because of this command it is necessary that our church focuses on making and maturing disciples through personal and corporate evangelism.

(Matthew 28:18-20)

 7. We believe that Jesus Christ is the God-man and possesses all the Divine attributes. We further believe His atoning death and resurrection secure our salvation, therefore we must proclaim Him as both Savior and Lord.

(Luke 9:23-27; Colossians 2:9)

8. We believe Scripture puts a high priority on the raising up of the next generation of leaders through the teaching of the full counsel of God. Therefore, we will be committed to equipping the Saints as fellow laborers; through education by the Word, a multi-generational approach, and training/equipping men for ministry.

(2 Timothy 2:2; Titus 2: 1-8)

9. We believe God has ordained the family as one of the main ways His gospel is transferred from generation to generation, we must be committed to investing and equipping toward the raising up of gospel-centered families.

(Ephesians 5:22-23;6:4)
